Lorenzo Masotto keeps finding ways to take his skills to new levels, now fusing the classical and electronic into perfectly balanced compositions, now complemented by the haunting use of vocals.

"I just want to say that" White Materials " is my fourth album
and it's a work that almost completely dissociates from the kind of writing I used up to now.
For this reason, according to the stylistic choices of compositions and sound combinations that you will find in "White Materials", I decided to produce this album completely by myself, so that you can listen to it without reference to labels or music genres.
I composed, recorded, mixed and mastered this work in my home studio. At the voice in "Window", "Cera" and "Frattali" my wife Stefania Avolio and at the violin in "Trees","Doors" and "Nightcall" my sister Laura Masotto. All electronic elements have been processed in the modular system of my dear friend Matteo Bogoni. The album packaging is entirely handmade.

This album makes me feel strong pulls of somberness and remorse, but a sense of maturity to it, as if it's but a distant scar now and am ready to move on.
The choice of slow moving cellos is very welcome on this album and makes the full piece feel full. Bombchu Link

Wonderful experience from the first time I played this. A very delicate, sensitive, warm, made-with-passion album. Very surprising mix of acoustic guitars, mixed with ambient piano and synths, vocal-sounds (only humming), flute, mallets, etc. but above all the mixture of ambient sounds, guitarlines that remind me at some points of the great shoegaze bands like Slowdive and Swervedriver, is so awesome... well-done!
